Michael P. Hofmann AG ( [abbreviated as "we", "us" and "our"] is an independent IT consulting company. We offer various services to help them get the most out of the cloud. When you contact us, we need your personal information to figure out how we can best help and get in touch with you.

We recognize that protecting your personal information is important. Here you will find information about the types of personal information we collect when you use and visit and how we protect your information.

  • your image, voice, and other identifiers that are personally associated with you when you attend an event;

  • identity information, including government-issued identification information;

  • corporate and financial information; and

  • VAT numbers and other tax identifiers.

Automatic Information

We automatically collect information when you:

  • visit, interact with, or use Offerings;

  • download content from us;

  • open emails or click on links in emails from us; and

  • interact or communicate with us (for example, when you attend an event or when you request customer support).

Examples of information we collect automatically include:

  • network and connection information, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer or other device to the Internet, and information about your Internet service provider;

  • computer information such as device, application, browser type/version, browser plug-in type/version, operating system or time zone setting;

  • the location of your device or computer;

  • authentication and security authorization information;

  • content interaction information, such as content downloads, including duration and number;

  • mail addresses and phone numbers used to contact us; and

  • identifiers and information contained in cookies (see our Cookie Notice).

The use is usually possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is done on a voluntary basis.

Our wiki is hosted by Infomaniak.

The use is usually possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is done on a voluntary basis.

We use either Google-Meet or Infomaniak-kMeet for video conferencing.

Thereby we can see mail address, name, first name.

We use Google-GMail as a mail system.

We use Google-Groups for the administration of our newsgroups and for sending our newsletter.

In doing so, we can view mail address, name, first name.

The legal basis for the processing is your consent. You can revoke this at any time by unsubscribing.

We use Google Forms to collect form data and surveys.

  • Communicating with them: We use your personal data to communicate with them regarding offers through various channels (e.g., phone, mail, chat) and to respond to your requests.

We retain your personal data to enable your continued use of the Offerings for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, as required by law (including tax and accounting purposes), or as otherwise communicated to them. The length of time we retain certain personal information depends on the purpose for which it is used, and we will delete your personal information in accordance with applicable law.

Data Minimization

We collect, process and use personal data only to the extent that it is necessary for the processing of the consented customer orders. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of our web services only insofar as this is necessary to enable the user to use the services or to bill the user.

Locations & Transfers

Your data is located at the sites of our named, third-party data processors. Depending on the extent of your interactions with our offerings, your personal data may be stored or accessed in multiple countries. Whenever we transfer personal data to other countries, we ensure that the data is transferred in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Security is our top priority. We develop our offerings and systems with security and data protection in mind. We implement technical and organizational security measures to ensure that the data collected remains confidential and is protected against accidental or unlawful access, alteration or disclosure, as well as against loss and destruction; and that access to the data is granted exclusively on a need-to-know basis to those persons who need to access the personal data on the basis of their function and task.


Personal data stored by us and our third-party data processors use industry-standard secure server connections to ensure that their personal data is encrypted both at rest and during secure transmission over the Internet.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personal information. Our security procedures mean that we may require proof of identity before disclosing personal information to them.

Your Rights


Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • to inquire whether we hold personal data about them and to request copies of that personal data and information about how it is processed;

  • to request that inaccurate personal data be corrected;

  • request the erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was processed, that is processed on the basis of withdrawn consent, or that is processed in breach of applicable law;

  • request us to restrict the processing of personal data if the processing is unreasonable;

  • object to the processing of personal data; and

  • request the portability of personal data they have provided to us.

If they wish to do so, they can contact us at any time at the contact address below. It may take up to 30 days for us to respond to their request.

If they have consented to the processing of their personal data for a specific purpose, they may withdraw their consent at any time and we will cease further processing of their data for that purpose.

Complaints & Supervisory Authority

However, if they feel that we have not adequately addressed their complaints or concerns, they have the right to file a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

Our business is constantly changing, and so our privacy notice may change as well. You should visit our website frequently to check for recent changes. You can see the date the last version of this privacy notice was posted. Unless otherwise stated, our current privacy notice applies to all personal information we have about you and your account. However, we stand behind our promises and will never materially change our policies and practices to degrade the protection of personal information collected in the past without informing affected customers and giving them a choice.
